Hello and welcome!

I’m Nick Bendall, owner of High Road Handcrafted. 

I started High Road Handcrafted to help bring quality and craftsmanship back into families homes. We are dedicated to providing a wholesome (and fun!) experience that you just can’t find when buying mass produced goods that were not designed with YOU in mind. Each of our pieces are meticulously crafted to meet your specific and unique needs. While our passion is building fine furniture and home décor, we see our legacy as building lasting, meaningful relationships with our customers and community.

Nick’s Bio:

My journey as a craftsman started at a young age. I grew up watching and working alongside my father (a true jack-of-all trades) and he, perhaps unknowingly, instilled in me a passion for hard work and a love of working with my hands. More importantly, I learned from my parents and my family how important kindness, empathy, and integrity are to being truly successful in life.

As I grew up, I pursued the “traditional” path that so many of us follow - I completed my undergrad and graduate program and began climbing that corporate ladder. I’ve spent the past decade in a range of patient care, public health, and project management roles. I learned how much I truly love to work with and help others - but nothing could compare to the sense of pride and accomplishment that I had felt with creating unique projects with my own hands.

Fast forward to 2020 and my partner Kelsey and I bought our first home. Like so many new home-owners, we needed furniture! We knew we wanted quality, custom pieces to fit our space and I got to work building our first dining table...and then our coffee table…our bed frame...raised garden beds…you see where this is going! I quickly began living and breathing woodworking. My pursuit of knowledge and growth became limitless - I had found my true purpose. This cemented the roots of High Road Handcrafted.

A strong sense of family and community is at the heart of everything we do at High Road Handcrafted. Our goal is to create a unique customer experience, from concept to completion, and to ensure our clients total satisfaction. We will always take the “High Road” and we genuinely look forward to working with you to create a piece that your family and friends will cherish for many years to come.
