Given the handmade and hand-finished nature of the products we craft, variations and imperfections in the wood should be expected and celebrated! Just as every tree is unique, so too is every piece of furniture that is handcrafted and hand finished just for you.
Every piece of furniture we build will have a unique grain pattern and slight color variation as a result of that grain pattern. We cannot guarantee exact stain/color matches to other tables/work we've done in the past. Wood does have a mind of its own and every piece of wood accepts stain/finish differently. Therefore, we do not match stain colors based on photos. We can however offer several stain/finish samples that we commonly use for our tables/etc.
Other characteristics of handcrafted, solid wood furniture may include open knots, micro-imperfections, textural variations in hand brushed finishes, unique distress marks, and other minor nicks and/or cracks that typically accompany natural wood products.
Your furniture piece is protected to a degree based on the wood choice and wood finish applied, however, after delivery of your order, we can not guarantee that your table will not experience micro-scratches that we have no control over. This is considered normal wear and tear for any wooden furniture that is anticipated to be used daily for years to come.
Those who do not appreciate variations and slight imperfections should not purchase handcrafted furniture. We celebrate the true uniqueness of every piece of solid wood furniture that is built and finished by hand in our wood shop. It is our hope that you will as well.

We do offer rush orders for a fee. The fee depends on several factors including the size of the piece, amount of items needed, finishing process needed, etc. as well as how soon you need the piece. Normally our rush order fee is between $250-$500 (but again, could be higher or lower based on the product we are making for you). Sometimes, however, there is just no way for us to process a rush order to meet an expedited deadline. That being said, we will always do our best to get you your piece as soon as possible, but please understand that sometimes this is just not possible.

Estimates remain valid for 30 days from the date of issue.
For orders exceeding $750, a product deposit of 50% is due upfront and will serve as confirmation and approval of your order. The deposit is non-refundable and the remaining balance is due upon completion of work. A final invoice will be provided after the project has been completed. For orders under $750, the full payment amount is due upfront.
Upon receipt of deposit/payment, your order will be reserved in the work schedule for High Road Handcrafted (No work will start until receipt of deposit/payment).

Upon completion of work, Clients will receive a final invoice. Refund Policy
In the rare event that your order is built inaccurately or has a defect in craftsmanship as defined in our cosmetic standard, High Road Handcrafted will repair/replace the furniture and/or correct the issue. Our furniture is built from solid wood and our finishes are applied by hand and therefore many characteristics of handmade furniture are not considered defects. Please review our cosmetic standards inside of our FAQ. High Road Handcrafted will also repair/replace any items damaged in transit, as long as the damage is properly noted upon delivery per our instructions.
